Solomon is a financial advisor, as well as owner and CEO of the Pittsburgh based GCSS Advisors (Formerly Barney C. Guttman and Associates), which was acquired by Childs Financial Group from Vantage Financial Group in 2014. He is also an Investment Advisory Representative of the Vantage Financial Group Inc. RIA (Registered Investment Advisor). Sol and Barney Guttman began working together in 2003 after Sol had been practicing for several years at Merrill Lynch in Los Angeles, California.
Working closely with each other and their clients, Barney and Sol’s practice addresses their private client group’s needs for retirement, investment, insurance and college planning. They also have a significant 401k/qualified plan consulting practice as well as a particular experience in Alternative Investment programs, such as oil, gas and real estate limited partnerships. Sol holds the series 24, 7, 65 and 63 registrations as well as being a licensed life and health insurance agent. Sol also recently became an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF)
Sol serves on the alumni association board of Phi Kappa Theta Pennsylvania Mu, as well as intermittently serving on various committees with the UJF of Pittsburgh. Sol, his wife Shari and children Alyana and Dylan reside in Upper St. Clair, Pa, where he also volunteers as a coach for youth soccer and baseball.
